THIS IS NOT A JOKE POST.

This isn't Neil, i'm his sister Lisa. I don't know any of you and this might seem strange but felt i had to let you know since Neil has spoken about you all a lot.

I'm so sorry to tell you that Neil died last night.

I did a search on Google for the Atrium and cga and found this forum with his posts on it, knew his username and guessed his pw. I know he has been posting here for a long time and felt i owed it to him to let you all know. I didn't just want him disappearing.

He was such a wonderful person, a brother and a best mate to me. I can't put into words how much i will miss him. I'm crying as i type this. Apologies for the weirdness of all this but i just felt the need to do this.

Please remember him in this thread.

Lisa

Lisa,

I'm so very very sorry to hear about Neil. He was a good friend to everyone here at CGA. We all remember his singing and generally excellent humour over the voice comms and here over at the forums. He'll be missed massively.

God always takes his best.

RIP Gets.

R.I.P

In Memory of those Voice Comms Sessions

You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips.
And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips.
You're trying hard not to show it, (baby).
But baby, baby I know it...

You've lost that lovin' feeling,
Whoa, that lovin' feeling,
You've lost that lovin' feeling,
Now it's gone...gone...gone...wooooooh.

Now there's no welcome look in your eyes
when I reach for you.
And now your're starting to critisize little things I do.
It makes me just feel like crying, (baby).
'Cause baby, something in you is dying.

You lost that lovin' feeling,
Whoa, that lovin' feeling,
You've lost that lovin' feeling,
Now it's gone...gone...gone...woooooah

Baby, baby, I get down on my knees for you.

If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah.

We had a love...a love...a love you don't find everyday.

So don't...don't...don't...don't let it slip away.

Baby (baby), baby (baby),
I beg of you please...please,
I need your love (I need your love),
I need your love (I need your love),
So bring it on back (So bring it on back),
Bring it on back (so bring it on back).

Bring back that lovin' feeling,
Whoa, that lovin' feeling
Bring back that lovin' feeling,
'Cause it's gone...gone...gone,
and I can't go on,
noooo...

Bring back that lovin' feeling,
Whoa, that lovin' feeling
Bring back that lovin' feeling,
'Cause it's gone...gone...

So long big guy

Hi Dave,

appreciate the other post. I felt wierd doing this but couldn't just let him disappear off the board. Glad you did it first though. Can't fit the amount of emotions i'm feeling right now in one post. It helps to read what everyone is posting on here though. It proves what a top guy my bro was. Just to clear something though, he wasn't found by our mum, it was the police who informed us at around 2am this morning. I've not stopped crying since.

Lisa

I will let you now the date of the funeral when things are sorted out.

Thanks for that Feegle. He used to sing that a lot off comms too! Along with a multitude of Pink Floyd songs....

My condolencies to you and all your family Lisa.

Absolutley Gobsmacked here. Neil was a very big part of this community and a great friend to many of us.

I will miss gaming with him until 3 or 4 am singing "Gold!" at the top of our voices through the voice comms.

This is a very sad day indeed.

We will miss you greatly Neil mate.

Lisa, I'm very sorry for your loss. Neil really was a great guy. We engaged a lot of banter and had a lot of laughs. It's hard to believe that he's gone. I'm going to miss him. We're all going to miss him. :(

Didn't know him well, but he came across as a nice chap and he was definitely an important part of the character of this board and this group. He'll be sorely missed.

Very sorry for your loss.

Neil will be sorely missed. He was one of the first people I ever encountered in online gaming and became a real-life friend.

My thoughts are with you and the rest his family and with Connor.
