Are you playing ?

Postby Bean » Tue Feb 14, 2012 6:31 am

An open ended non finishing poll where you can dynamically change your vote depending on circumstance !

Or where the feck is everyone as it seems very quiet so im wondering if the two week CGA game time has been reached and everyone has gone on to the next game.

I'm playing as and when I can! I can't get on every night and am only level 25 so there's still lots for me to see and I'm enjoying the storyline - which is rare for me to say for an MMO!

I am playing on some alts cos I have the 50 blues. I will try to make sure my alts are in guild so peeps can see me.

I am ofc up for doing level 50 stuff on my Assassin so don't hesitate to ask for Hard Modes and Raids etc.

I'm still on as much as I can, couple of nights per week. Level 48 just now, so a wee bit to go before 50. Once at 50 I'll be happy to do operations and hard modes and whatnot.

dunno about 2 week rule, was a 4 week in this case...

i've moved my WoW toon(s) over to join Riddles and play wow casually (er.. well we are 1/8hc now :s lol, dunno if thats casually).

i've still got it installed with the idea to resub after they've fixed that shambles of a patch - but as i'm quite enjoying wow for the time being i think by the time i get bored Guild Wars 2 will come out.

SWTOR isnt a bad MMO at all, its a less polished version of wow. It was released too early and is missing some game breaking things for me like a dungeon finder. When I log in I want to play - i like quests, but i prefer running instances. Standing around a star port for 40 mins waiting for a group isn't fun. I was so looking forward to SWTOR as well, but unfortunately nothing is NEW. The voice acting is cool but soon gets old. Something revolutionary like GW2 has me way way way more excited now :s

Its got awesome potential as its Star Wars, but I think at the moment its (for me...) not as good as the experience WoW offers. With time who knows, but I won't be resubbing any time soon.

I'm the opposite, as I prefer questing to instancing and all that. To be honest, I'd rather they have released another single-player KOTOR game, but this is still a good single-player experience which has the option of playing with other people, which is fine by me. :D

yeah thats totally fair enough :) dont get me wrong i did enjoy the leveling and the story - and i honestly wouldnt bash the game to anyone wanting to try it - just didnt tick all the boxes for me and my gaming style. i think BW fucked up a little on the release date to get it out there before christmas - sure they will put the things right with upcoming patches and who knows i may resub.

Level 49 and usually on most days, I've not been that active with the guild though as I never know how long I have to play, baby/wife aggro.

I am a little concerned about what to do at 50 though, I find the PvP very quick and not that satisfying. In fact I've been PvP toggled since level 10 and have had more fun fighting random Repub's whilst questing. It came in handy yesterday when I found a very accommodating Jedi who pulled me up to a Datacron in Hoth......I had to fight the urge to kill him though. Dog tells me that Illum is fairly dull so I'm not sure what's going to happen, please tell me there's some PvP content coming down the line, what I wouldn't give for a Midgard Keep raid right now!

Im in the same boat as most as im at 50 with one but enjoying the story lines of two other toons, Level 50 is a let down and reminds me a lot of DAOC and Wow in the early days in that they haven't finished the game yet but I suppose that can be said of most MMO's at release im just plodding along getting my PvP equipment for my BH and leveling the others.

If you read what is coming then it does sound good and sounds promising with raids and PvP and stuff but atm the balance on the servers is bad Rep vs Imp same as Wow was until they started to cross server queue things I just hope the stuff they are talking about is implemented sooner rather than later especially the group finder for flashpoints.

Ilum is a good PvP area and shows promise but there is just not enough Republic to go around which ends up with people riding around farming crates to get the daily done which makes me a sad panda hopefully they will address the balance in some way and make it fun.
GIVF KEEP RAIDS !!! or something on that scale with real rewards for taking part (ie a 5% buff to dancing for your faction or some such for taking a relic) and I will be happy, I know there is a buff in Ilum atm if you participate but one that exists as long as you hold the "datacron of dancing" gets the whole realm involved as they can see the buff drop if the other side steal it.

Im also a bit worried about post 50 PVP atm. Otoh Im sure BW is in full gear creating end game content. I guess Ill continue to farm PVP-gear and work on my valor ranking.

Also, it would be great to run some HM's and maybe ops now that more and more people are hitting 50.

How is crafting in the game? Is there any?

There is crafting in the game, but you make your companions do it. You pick up to three "crew skills" at around level 10 and you can send your companions out on "missions" to gather and craft. These take varying amounts of time and that companion is unavailable to you until they're done (or recalled).

I'm still really enjoying the game at level 47 (on my Republic toon). I just have other things going on, so only able to get in like 10-15 hours a week.

I'm playing when I can and when I feel like it. I still enjoy the game and I especially enjoy running instances with you guys. I'm just currently working a bit to much and to early in the days which means I don't get much time at home and not much in the evenings when you guys are on. So the fact is that I mostly have time to play during the weekends but during the weekends I also need to sort out most of my household stuff as I don't have time for that in the week days. Well I'm sure you all know how it is.

Fact is also that some evenings I just don't feel like playing computer games at all. It has nothing to do with this game, think it might have more to do with the fact that I spend all day infront of a bunch of computer screens as it is already so sometimes I just don't feel an urge to spend the evenings infront of them too.
